She views clay as a mouldable canvas, and draws inspiration from botanical textures and life drawing. She makes both functional and decorative ceramics, ranging from large platters and wall installations, to small earrings and pendants. She loves the tactile nature of clay, and how people respond when they pick up and hold a piece.She received her Bachelors in Architectural Studies from the University of Cape Town, but chose to pursue a different career after falling in love with clay.She is currently very involved in Ceramics Southern Africa as the Western Cape chairperson.
